Thoughts from our Researchers
I've had the privilege of sitting next to several of our researchers for the past 4 months. For hours and hours, they sit there reading and writing. Their attention is unwavering. At times, I have wondered if there is a chain keeping them at their desks. (There isn't... I checked.) Instead, they are being driven by the quest for knowledge, and a quest to tell the story of extreme poverty and what we can do about it. In between writing briefs, speaking with experts and reading articles our lead researcher Robbie Peters had this to say about his journey and the research team.
From the perspective of someone working on development related issues, I have been very fortunate to oversee and digest all of this information. We have been able to analyse major development all the while keeping our finger on the pulse of the current economic crisis. We, the research team, truly consider ourselves lucky; rarely do people have the privilege of coordinating and preparing collaborative research on a topic that they are genuinely passionate about.
